ADHD Evaluation

I offer comprehensive evaluations for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to help individuals better understand their symptoms and determine an appropriate course of treatment. Whether you're exploring ADHD for the first time or seeking continuation of care, the evaluation process is designed to be thoughtful, thorough, and tailored to your unique needs.

If you're exploring ADHD evaluation or treatment for the first time, please let me know when scheduling, as this process involves multiple steps and some preparation. The initial 60-minute visit is focused on getting to know you and gathering a comprehensive psychiatric history, including your current concerns, past treatment experiences, and overall mental health background. If ADHD remains a concern after this initial visit, a follow-up session will be scheduled specifically to assess for ADHD symptoms. This next step will include completing self-assessments and may involve gathering additional information from family members, previous providers, or therapists—with your consent—to support an accurate and thoughtful diagnosis.

For patients with a previous ADHD diagnosis, I ask that you bring any relevant documentation to your appointment, such as past evaluation notes, psychological testing results, or a letter from a former provider. If you were diagnosed through an online mental health platform such as Cerebral, Done, or Circle Medical, a full evaluation will still be conducted during your initial visit.
Please note: If a diagnosis is confirmed and treatment with a controlled medication is recommended, an in-person visit will be required before starting medication—typically during the first or second appointment. This ensures compliance with current clinical, regulatory, and pharmacy standards and helps promote safe, well-informed prescribing.
